Our Community

Student Council

The Student Council at IPS is an active and engaged body within the school community, elected every year by the student body. It is dedicated to initiating actions and supporting the school’s growth and development. Through its projects and initiatives, the council promotes the values of responsibility, leadership, and collaboration. It provides students with a platform to voice their ideas, foster positive change, and contribute to a vibrant school environment.

Parent - Teacher Association

At IPS, our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) serves as a vital platform for collaboration between parents and the school community. Through regular meetings the PTA fosters open communication, encourages the exchange of ideas, and supports the development of initiatives that enhance the educational experience for all students.

School Uniforms

At IPS, our school uniform reflects the core values of togetherness and respect. Wearing the uniform fosters a sense of belonging and pride within our diverse community, while also promoting equality and a positive learning environment.

Each school structure at IPS is represented by a unique color:

  • Primary School: Red
  • Lower Secondary: Grey
  • Upper Secondary: Navy Blue

These distinct colors highlight the individuality of each stage while maintaining a cohesive identity across the entire IPS community.

For important celebrations and official events, students wear a formal uniform that represents IPS externally, showcasing our school’s commitment to excellence and unity.

Social responsibility

At IPS, we believe responsibility is key to shaping compassionate, engaged citizens. We empower our students to make a positive impact locally and globally through meaningful action.

From community service and supporting the elderly to advocating for animals and the environment, our students lead with purpose and care. These experiences help them grow into responsible global citizens committed to building a better future.

The Houses

Our Secondary students are divided into Houses in addition to their regular classes. This system is designed to build a strong sense of community, where students get to know one another and work together beyond their classrooms. Each House fosters collaboration, respect, and school spirit through a variety of fun events and internal competitions. These activities encourage teamwork and create an environment where students support one another, enhancing their overall educational experience.

Events

At IPS, school life is vibrant and full of energy. We host a variety of exciting events, including Halloween and Carnival parties or colourful Divali celebrations. We also host community celebrations such as our annual Christmas party and a picnic. One of our core events is the Culture Fair, which showcases the rich diversity of our students and their cultures. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in various contests, and external olympiads.

The Dwarf

The dwarf in front of IPS International School of Wrocław is more than a charming figure — it symbolizes the school’s strong ties to the city and its cultural heritage. Gifted by the President of Wrocław for the school’s 10th anniversary, the IPS dwarf reflects the city’s famous tradition of dwarfs, representing creativity and community spirit.

It shares a special connection with the dwarf given to Dr. Auma Obama during her visit to Wrocław, underscoring IPS’s dedication to international friendship and cultural exchange. Proudly standing at the school entrance, the IPS dwarf reminds the community daily of its values and remarkable journey. It’s a favourite photo spot for students, families, and visitors alike, often featured in school celebrations and city tours. The presence of the dwarf encourages curiosity about local traditions and sparks conversations about cultural symbols. It embodies the school’s welcoming spirit and openness to diverse perspectives. For new students, it’s one of the first friendly faces they see, helping them feel at home. Over time, the IPS dwarf has become a beloved part of the school’s identity and a lasting symbol of connection between education and community.
