IPS Playschool offers high-quality care and education for children aged 2.5 until 6. We create an environment that fosters holistic development, providing a strong foundation for future learning while cultivating essential life skills for our students to explore the world.We believe that the early stages of education shape the most important habits and build the most important framework for future learning and for life. Our students learn to understand the surrounding natural world, explore human-made artefacts using age appropriate tools and methods.
During the early stages of education, we follow the standards of the IB Primary Years Program, supported by the addition of the Cambridge Assessment International Curriculum, during the Kindergarten year. The Polish National Curriculum standards are introduced during Kindergarten along with the Polish as a Second Language program. Our priority during early education is experience-based learning. Workshops, guests, field trips, and community events help us to develop natural curiosity in children. We support our students in their social and emotional growth by providing daily activities based on mindfulness: self awareness of the body, mind, and feelings.
Transdisciplinary units
The best way to engage with the world is to explore it from many angles. Transdisciplinary units of inquiry integrate multiple subject areas around a central theme, fostering deep, interconnected learning and real-world application.
Jolly Phonics Programme
Students learn how to write and read based on the Jolly Phonics programme – a multisensory, systematic approach to literacy that teaches letter sounds, formation, blending, segmenting, and tricky words through actions, songs, and stories that our students love.
Centre-based learning
A hands-on approach where students rotate through different activity stations, each targeting specific skills or subjects. Using this method our teachers promote engagement, independence, and collaboration.
